Sculptured vintage suit jacket is fitted at the waist with darts and shoulder pads. The hips are padded in the early 50s style, and this creates a curvy jacket that's styled after the famous 50s New Look suit. By Edith Small Originals California, sold at Best's Apparel, Seattle. It is a classic 50s style in navy blue wool with silk trim around the neckline and sleeve hems.  It buttons on the front with bound buttonholes, and has a V neckline with 3/4 sleeves.  It has a pointy collar too.

Made of soft woven wool and slubbed silk  fabric. The rayon crepe lining is in a matching tone.

So easy to see the iconic Post War new look Suit detail and influence in this later design. Fitted bust and shoulders, gentle padded shoulders, with a fitted waist and a bit of a flare at the hem.  Set in sleeves. Excellent condition but for 6 small holes, 3 on the front 3 on the back. It has small nibbles at the sleeve hem. Dry clean.
