In August 1973 the first World Wide Black Expo was held in Washington DC. Here's a tank top with the logo, a gold chain , Unity, and a big Afro.
The Expo, held at RFK Stadium, featured Nina Simone, Ray Charles and Nancy Wilson. It was held to expose and feature black and inter-racial business people, academics, and cultural activities and accomplishments.
